I cannot believe we are already talking about this, but August is back to school month! The long days of summer are (sort of) coming to a close and children will be heading back to their classrooms and spending more time indoors. This can also mean an increased amount of time spent in a car – driving children from school and to activities.

With this extra time in the car, we wanted to share some ways you can bring your organic household cleaning practices to your vehicle! Below are two of our favorite homemade solutions that can also be used to clean your car in a safe, healthy, and effective way!

Vinegar Solution: create a mixture of equal parts distilled white vinegar and water. This solution can be used to clean windows, mirrors and other glass surfaces in your car. Use a microfiber cloth to wipe it off surfaces. 

Baking soda Paste: Baking soda is an all-star at removing stains and grime. Create a paste by mixing baking soda with water and than apply it to stains on your car’s upholstery, carpets and floor mats. Make sure to let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing off.
